Please read them carefully before enrolling in a program or using our website.
By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and to use the Site in accordance with these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific sections of the Site or to products and services available through the Site or from Opus English.
Accessing the Site, in any manner, whether automated or otherwise, constitutes use of the Site and your agreement to be bound by these Terms of Service.
By enrolling in any Opus English program, or purchasing any of our products, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and you agree to the following:
1. You will not share program content with any other person, including but not limited to video lessons, lesson recordings, downloadable resources, and exemplar essays.
2. You will only use program content for personal academic use and will not redistribute, resell, reproduce, or reuse it for any other purpose.
3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and must not share account access with others.
4. If you violate this Student Agreement, you understand that Opus English reserves the right to invoice you for the value of any content that has been shared, distributed, or accessed by others without authorisation, and to revoke your access permanently.
5. In addition, if you violate any of the above terms, you understand that Opus English reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action against any individual, group, or organisation complicit in such actions.
6. You understand that academic results and outcomes are not guaranteed under any Opus English program, including Weekly Private Tutoring, Group Classes, and the Masterclass, and will vary depending on personal effort, consistency, and other factors.
The prices are indicated in Australian dollars (AUD). The price of items can be changed at any time. However, the price applied to an order will be the one stated at the time of the order.
If you wish to enrol in a program or place an order for products available through Opus English, you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your enrolment or order, including, without limitation, your name, email, phone number, credit card number, the expiration date of your credit card, and your billing address.
You represent and warrant that: (i) you have the legal right to use any credit or debit card(s) or other payment method(s) provided; and that (ii) the information you supply to us is true, correct, and complete.
By submitting this information, you grant us the right to share it with payment processing and administrative third parties for the purpose of facilitating your enrolment or order.
Weekly Private Tutoring and Group Classes: Payment is due in full for the term at the time of enrolment, unless a payment plan has been separately agreed.
Masterclass and digital products: Payment is due immediately at the time of purchase.
Payment can be made through various payment methods we have available, such as Visa, MasterCard, Affinity Card, American Express cards or online payment methods (PayPal, for example).
Payment cards (credit cards or debit cards) are subject to validation checks and authorisation by your card issuer. If we do not receive the required authorisation, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order.
Opus English programs are delivered as live services, either online (Weekly Private Tutoring) or in person (Small-Group Classes), or as digital content accessed through our website and online portal (Masterclass and related digital products). No physical product will be shipped.
Refunds are not available for enrolments or purchases of any kind, including but not limited to Opus English digital products and courses, enrolment fees, and trial fees, except where otherwise expressly specified in an ongoing promotion, money-back guarantee, special offer, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Our digital products and courses provide immediate access to intellectual property, including video content and digital or downloadable resources, for which access cannot be meaningfully revoked once provided.
For live online tutoring sessions and in-person classes, enrolment involves securing a dedicated place in a program and allocating professional teaching time and resources. Accordingly, any form of enrolment constitutes a commitment for the full term or full course, as applicable, with your place reserved exclusively for you for the duration of that term. Once your enrolment has been confirmed, enrolment fees are not refundable, except where otherwise expressly specified by Opus English or required by applicable law.
Waitlist deposits are governed by the specific Waitlist Terms and Conditions provided to you at the time you join a waitlist.
Masterclass credits may be available to you if you later enrol in Weekly Private Tutoring, subject to the eligibility requirements outlined below:
a) Where you purchase the Masterclass as a bridging program and were already on the active waitlist for Weekly Private Tutoring prior to your Masterclass purchase. Full credit may be applied based on Opus English's policy.
b) Where you purchase the Accelerator Package of the 20/20 Essay Writing Masterclass, which includes placement on the active waitlist for Weekly Private Tutoring. Full credit may be applied based on Opus English's policy.
c) Where you purchase the Masterclass as a standalone course and subsequently join the active waitlist for Weekly Private Tutoring. A credit of up to AUD $500 may be applied based on Opus English's policy.
Policy: Masterclass credits are strictly capped at AUD $250 per 10-week term and must not exceed the remaining value of enrolment fees. The total credit available is determined by the number of remaining consecutive enrolled terms at Opus English. This policy applies uniformly and is not adjusted based on proximity to graduation.
To remain eligible for ongoing credit allocation, students must maintain continuous enrolment across consecutive terms. If enrolment is paused or discontinued, any remaining credit entitlement will expire.
Unused credits cannot be transferred, refunded, redeemed for cash, or carried forward beyond the eligible enrolment period.
Where a student enrols in more than 10 lessons per 10-week term, Opus English may apply a proportional credit adjustment at its discretion.
All credit applications, adjustments, and additional lesson arrangements are subject to administrative approval. Opus English reserves the right to determine eligibility and to decline or adjust credits where necessary for operational or policy reasons.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, in whole or in part, please stop using the website and the Service.
